Day 1 Fly to Tokyo wonders of japan
Take a scheduled flight from your regional airport to Tokyo.

Day 2 Arrive Tokyo
On arrival at Tokyo’s Narita international airport you will be met by your guide and escorted to your hotel by private coach.

Day 3 Tokyo Tour (B)
Following breakfast you will be met at your hotel to embark on a day tour of this bustling and energetic city. You will take in the popular landmarks including Tokyo Metropolitan Government Observatory, Asakusa Temple and Meiji-Jingu Shrine. Spend time inside the Tokyo Tower, the communications and observation tower measures 332.9 metres and is the second-tallest structure in Japan.Take a walk down Nakamise street, one of the oldest shopping streets in Japan. Visit Ginza, the luxury shopping and entertainment district of Tokyo. Return to your hotel.

Day 4 Mt. Fuji and Hakone / Atami (BD)
Today you will have a full day tour to Mt. Fuji and Hakone. The tour includes spending time at Mt. Fuji 5th station (if weather permits), visiting the historical Hakone Sekisho and learn about the past at this old imperial checkpoint. Enjoy a leisurely cruise on Lake Ashinoko and take the Komogatake Ropeway which is a Japanese aerial lift that offers spectacular views of the surrounding areas. Finally you will be transferred to your hotel in Atami. Enjoy a traditional Japanese dinner at your hotel.

Day 5 Atami /Hiroshima (B)
Pack a small bag for your stay in Hiroshima and Osaka. Your luggage will be transferred to the hotel in Kyoto. After breakfast walk to the train station with your tour guide and take the JR Super Express Train to Hiroshima via Shin-Kobe (change Super Express Train at Shin-Kobe – a guide will help you change trains). Upon arrival at Hiroshima Station, you will take a coach tour of Hiroshima City. Places of interest that you will visit include Peace Park, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, and the Atomic Bomb Dome. Finally you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 6 Hiroshima / Miyajima/ Osaka (B)
In the morning take the 10 minute ferry to the island of Miyajima. On arrival you will walk to Itsukushima Shrine, best known for its “floating” torii gate”, which is one of the most photographed locations in Japan. Spend time walking to the other sites located on the scenic island. Finally you will take the ferry to Miyajima Guchi and transfer to Hiroshima Station. Take the JR Super train to Osaka (without guide). Upon arrival at Shin Osaka Station, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 7 Osaka / Nara / Kyoto (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit Osaka Castle. The construction of the castle started in 1583 and is surrounded by secondary citadels, gates, turrets, impressive stone walls and moats. Later you will transfer to Nara. You will visit the Todaji (Big Buddha), and the picturesque Nara Park, home to hundreds of freely roaming deer. Finally you will transfer to the cultural city of Kyoto. Home to 17 UNESCO World Heritage sites, Kyoto was the centre of politics for 1,100 years. This culturally rich city offers many interesting places to visit including museums, art galleries, shrines and temples. You will discover an exciting food culture with a variety of amazing food on offer including Sushi, Kaiseki-ryori, tempura and noodles. During your time in Kyoto you may come across a Geisha and Maiko (apprentice Geisha) wearing traditional kimono. Gion, one of the main downtown districts in Kyoto, is where you may catch a sight of them.

Day 8 Kyoto (B)
Today you will have a day tour of Kyoto. Places of interest that you will visit include Nijo castle which was built in 1603. Spend time at Kinkakujim Ryoanji, the site of Japan’s most famous rock garden, and the stunning Kiyomizudera. Built in 780 in the hills east of Kyoto, this celebrated temple offers wonderful views especially during the blossom season and the fall.

Day 9 Kyoto / Takayama (B)
Following breakfast you will be transferred to Takayama by private coach. With its riverside setting, Takayama, commonly referred to as Hida-Takayama, is surrounded by nature with the Northern Alps (Hida mountain range) providing a scenic backdrop. Upon arrival, you will have an afternoon sightseeing of Takayama and visit Kami Sannomachi Street, Jinya Old House, and local Sake tasting. Finally you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 10 Takayama / Shirakawago / Kanazawa (B)
In the morning you will visit Market of Takayama, located along the Miyagawa River in the old town. You will be transferred by private coach to the village of Shirakawago, famous for preserving the traditional Gassho-zukuri style houses. At this world Heritage Site you will visit the Gasshozukuri Minkaen Outdoor Museum (Wadaya), followed by some free time before visiting Shiroyama Observation Deck which offers a panoramic view of the village. Finally you will transfer to Kanazawa. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 11 Kanazawa / Nagoya (B)
After breakfast you will have a Kanazawa city tour. Places of interest that you will visit include one of the best and visited landscape gardens in Japan called Kenrokuen. Spend time at Utatsuyama Temple Area, Higashichaya old town, Ninjya Temple and Kutaniyaki Museum. Finally you will be transferred to Nagoya by private coach.

Day 12 Nagoya / Tokyo (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, walk to Nagoya Station with your guide and take the JR Super train to Tokyo. Upon arrival at Tokyo Station, you will transfer to your hotel by private coach. Rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 13 Fly to UK (B)
Day at leisure until your transfer to Kansai international airport by airport shuttle bus. Fly to your regional airport in the UK.

Kyoto:  Kintetsu
