Day 1 Fly to Tokyo
Take a scheduled flight from your regional airport to Tokyo.

Day 2 Arrive Tokyo
On arrival at Tokyo’s Narita international airport you will be met by your guide and escorted to your hotel by private coach.

Day 3 Tokyo Tour (B)
Following breakfast you will be met at your hotel to embark on a day tour of this bustling and energetic city. You will take in the popular landmarks including Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise street, one of the oldest shopping streets in Japan, in Asakusa, enjoy the view from the observation deck at Tokyo tower, the communications and observation tower measures 332.9 metres and is the second-tallest structure in Japan. Stroll in Ginza district, the luxury shopping and entertainment district of Tokyo and visit Meiji-Jingu Shrine. Return to your hotel.

Day 4 Mt. Fuji and Hakone /Atami (BD)
Today you will have a full day tour to Mt. Fuji and Hakone. The tour includes spending time at Mt. Fuji 5th station (if weather permits), visiting the historical Hakone Sekisho and learn about the past at this old imperial checkpoint. Enjoy a leisurely cruise on Lake Ashinoko and take the Komogatake Ropeway which is a Japanese aerial lift that offers spectacular views of the surrounding areas. Finally you will be transferred to your hotel in Atami.  Dinner will be served at your hotel tonight.

Day 5 Atami / Kyoto (B)
After breakfast transfer to the train station with your tour guide to take the bullet train to Kyoto. Upon arrival you will transfer to Nara and visit Todaji Temple (Great Buddha), the picturesque Nara Park, home to hundreds of freely roaming deer and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Finally you will transfer to the cultural city of Kyoto and to your accommodation.

Day 6 Kyoto (B)
Today you will have a day tour of Kyoto. Places of interest that you will visit include Nijo Castle which was built in 1603. Spend time at Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), Ryoanji Temple, the site of Japan’s most famous rock garden, and the stunning Kiyomizudera Temple. Built in 780 in the hills east of Kyoto, this celebrated temple offers wonderful views of Kyoto.  Visit a sake brewery and enjoy a brewery tour and sake tasting.  After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 7 Kyoto/ Hiroshima / Miyajima/ Hiroshima (B)
Morning transfer to the station to take the bullet train to Hiroshima. Upon arrival at Hiroshima station, you will take the 10 minute ferry to the island of Miyajima.  On arrival you will walk to Itsukushima Shrine, best known for its “floating torii gate”, which is one of the most photographed locations in Japan. Spend time walking to the other sites located on the scenic island. Finally you will take the ferry to Miyajimaguchi and transfer to your accommodation.

Day 8 Hiroshima/ Osaka (B)
This morning you will take a coach tour of Hiroshima City. Places of interest that you will visit include Peace Park, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Atomic Bomb DomeContinue by coach to the charming and historic city of Kurashiki and enjoy a tour of the old quarter. Continue to Osaka and transfer to your accommodation.

Day 9 Fly to UK (B)
Time at leisure before being transferred to Kansai International Airport for your flight to London Heathrow.

Day 1 UK to Tokyo
Take a scheduled flight from your regional UK airport to Tokyo.

Day 2 Arrive Tokyo
Arrive at Tokyo’s Narita or Haneda International Airports where you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your accommodation. The rest of day is at leisure.

Day 3 Tokyo Tour (BL)
Start the day with a visit to Tokyo Tower, which is the second tallest self-supporting steel tower in Japan. Experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony followed by a Japanese-style lunch. See the Imperial Palace Plaza and enjoy a cruise in Tokyo Bay for a unique view of the city from the water. Visit Asakusa Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street, said to be one of the oldest shopping streets in Japan.

Day 4 Mt. Fuji and Hakone (BLD)
Your main luggage will be transferred from Tokyo to Kyoto. Pack a small bag for your stay at Mount Fuji. View the scenery of rural Japan as you drive towards Mt. Fuji and Hakone. Take a pleasure boat cruise across the peaceful Lake Ashi, relaxing in the picturesque and serene natural beauty of this crater lake. Ride the Owakudani Ropeway, an aerial lift with spectacular views of the surrounding areas including Mount Fiji and Ashinoko Lake. Lunch at a local restaurant, and marvel at the panoramic view from the mountains 5th
station about 2,300 metres above sea level. (Subject to weather conditions). Transfer to your accommodation where tonight’s dinner will be served.

Day 5 Mount Fuji, Nagoya and Kyoto (B)
After breakfast travel by coach towards Kyoto. Pausing in Nagoya, visit the lovely Tokugawa Japanese Garden, a traditional garden with a lake, rock formations and waterfalls. Continue to the fascinating Toyota Museum which commemorates the history of the automobile. Finally you will arrive in the cultural city of Kyoto and your
accommodation.

Day 6 Kyoto (B)
Today there is a day tour of Kyoto. Places of interest that you will visit include Nijo Castle which was built in 1603, and the beautiful Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden Pavilion), a zen temple where the top two floors are completely covered in gold leaf. In the afternoon spend time at the Heian Jingu Shrine, home of perhaps the world’s most authentic and exquisite Japanese Garden. See the Sanjusangendo Temple, a Buddhist temple filled with 1,001 statues of Kannon, the Goddess of mercy, and visit the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which has a main hall on a steep slope with a wooden platform supported by pillars, from which a panoramic view of Kyoto can be enjoyed.

Day 7 Kyoto to Hiroshima (B)
Your main luggage will be transferred from Kyoto to Osaka. Pack a small bag for your stay in Hiroshima. After breakfast, depart Kyoto by bullet train and arrive in Hiroshima in two hours. On arrival visit the Peace Memorial Park. The Genbaku-dome (The Atomic Bomb Dome) is the symbol of Hiroshima, the city that advocates peace in the world. It is part of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and was designated a
UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. While all structures vanished in the atomic bomb explosion, only this building miraculously remained standing.

Day 8 Hiroshima and Miyajima to Osaka (BL)
After breakfast, leave your accommodation for a sightseeing tour of Miyajima with a ferry ride. Visit the Itsukushima Shrine situated on Itsukushima Island, popularly known as Miyajima, south-western Hiroshima. It is a striking sight where the mountains, sea and red shrine buildings blend in harmony, and the entire island is designated as a historic site. It is one of the three most beautiful sites in Japan, along with Matsushima in Miyagi and Ama-no-hashidate in Kyoto. After lunch, transfer to Osaka by bullet train, and on arrival transfer  to your accommodation.

Day 9 Osaka and Nara (B)
On a morning tour of Osaka, visit the impressive Osaka Castle, built in the 16th century and one of Japan’s most famous landmarks. Enjoy a river cruise on the Aqua Liner to view the city panorama from the water. In the afternoon transfer to Nara and visit Todaji Temple (Great Buddha), the picturesque Nara Park, home to hundreds of freely roaming deer and the Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Return to Osaka.

Day 10 Fly to UK (B)
Time at leisure before being transferred to Kansai International Airport for your flight to London Heathrow.
