Mount Fuji

Known to the locals as “Fui-san”, is Japan’s largest and most famous mountain.
Rising above the clouds, a stunning 3,776 metres high, this inactive volcano has provided the spiritual basis for the country since ancient times. Snow covered tranquillity in the winter, vitality and energy in the simmer, seasonal changes glorify this national treasure. An easy way to view Mount Fuji, and to obtain some of the best images, is to enjoy it from the comfort of the train on a trip between Tokyo and Osaka. From near or afar, one cannot look at Mount Fuji without marvelling at its beauty.
